CLIP is a powerful tool for claim reviews with features based on a proven „turn-key“ methodology. The incorporated workflow is based on a 4 core logic: Questionnaire, Claim selection, File reviews and Reporting. Nine major Lines of Businesses are covered: MOD, MTPL material, MTPL Bodily Injury, General Liability, Private Health, Personal Accident, Household, Corporate Property and Agriculture.

ROLES

There are three necessary roles for the completion of a claim review: an Audit supervisor, Claim handlers and Technical / Medical experts (according to the Line of Business)

All necessary information about the case is available in an interactive summary cockpit which provides a quick, subject-specific and comprehensive view of all case leakage data and extracts important key information such as completion status of the claim review, due date of the review and critical open questions.

Claim reviews are conducted in a state-of-the-art Questionnaire instrument with build-in standardized rigorous methodology that allows the experienced internal claim experts to identify fast and easy overpayments, missed opportunities or other issues that may lead to process leakage. The review is executed by internal best-in-class claim specialists. The methodology foresees precise calculation of the leakage thanks to smart checks.

When the reviewer finishes the case the system automatically forwards the results to the Audit supervisor. The supervisor verifies the completion of the case and checks for discrepancies - he can either approve the case, reject the case or reassign the case with a feedback to the reviewer. The management is done in a detailed cockpit with the respective filtering options.

The reviewers can ask questions to the Audit supervisor. The answers and the status of the questions are tracked and accessible at any time providing full transparency of the review process

 

 

ADMINISTRATION

The Audit supervisor is a very important role in CLIP and is responsible for managing the review team, the performance and administration of the review cycles.

The questionnaire forms are incredibly easy and intuitive to adapt and manage thanks to the integrated templates. Within each template there is a simple option to define additional questions to enhance and customize them according to business needs.

Calibration is one of the primary key steps in the review process to ensure a level of consistency on questions and leakage measurement based on predefined scoring criteria. Calibrations are carried out in the beginning of the review cycles as well as during each single review which allows the supervisor to have a comprehensive overview on automatically tracked inconsistencies.

File segmentation follows the in-force claim portfolio for ensuring full representativeness and statistically significant results in claims of various sizes and types. CLIP offers a simple interface for segmentation and upload of claim cases.

All conducted reviews and calibrations for the different Lines of Business are managed centrally. Tracking performance, pausing, re-calibrating and resuming of entire reviews is simple and provides to the supervisor a powerful tool for monitoring.

 

 

REPORTING

Essential information about the reviews as well as quantitative and qualitative analysis of the results are based on the powerful and flexible automated reporting possibilities of CLIP.

Having the control of the running claim review is essential for a stress-free work. The Audit supervisor has the possibility to see the current claim status and keep under control the progress of reviews easily and dynamically.

The Audit supervisor has a comprehensive overview on the calibration level, specific challenges and frequent disagreements on file responses and leakage scores among peer reviewers.

The Audit supervisor has an instant view on the Leakage summary by handling phase, by segment, by question, by reason as well as by leakage type. The extrapolation selection provides the possibility to view the leakage for the entire claim portfolio.

The Audit supervisor has the flexibility to use not only the standard set of reports but to build customized dashboards thanks to the downloadable spreadsheets in multiple formats such as .pdf, .csv or .xlsx. The incorporation of the reports in existing client‘s BI solutions has never been easier.
